A number of approaches can be taken for the problems in societies from the perspectives of country, race, culture, and economy. The Department of Public Policy focuses on studying the structure of communities on which our life is based. The focus is on examining public welfare and its activities promoted not only by public administration but also individuals within communities, who strive to create social ties through networks of mutual support. In this respect, our field of study can be called "new public welfare". Our program aims to educate would-be public employees and social workers who hope to contribute to creating this "new public welfare."
